Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all doing well. It has been a hectic couple of weeks for me, and none of it has anything to do with crocheting. I have taken a step back from it for a little while, simply because it started to become a chore instead of the fun it’s supposed to be. Sometimes switching gears isn’t a bad thing.

My time has not been wasted though, because I took some time and finally got my office somewhat organized. Once that was done, I had a space where I could write without as many interruptions. (And I say as many, because I still have knocking at my office door in the evening.) As I’m sure many of you know, I am also an Indie Author, with several titles on Amazon, Kobo and Lulu. Most of them are nonfiction, and two are fiction (well, three now).

I have started a romance series, which are novellas. I just submitted the first one to KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) and am anxiously waiting for it to be available for purchase. I just had a terrible thought: I don’t recall if I finished the description of the book, and the system won’t let me check it while it’s in review. Agh!

Have you ever had a moment like that? Where you have published a pattern, or mailed an order and didn’t remember doing one of the steps? I’m having an “Oh shit!” moment right now; hopefully I finished my description. If not, I guess I will have the opportunity to change it when it’s approved.

My goal for getting this novella published was Easter, and I am happy to say I am ahead of schedule. Now I can get to work on Book 2. In all honesty, I’m not quite sure how many the series will have yet. I do have outlines started for the next two titles though, so it should keep me busy for awhile.

I designed the cover using Canva, and tweaked the placement of the title and series name. The photo is one I took a few years ago in my dad’s hayfield. It was a good year for hay that year. 🙂 I do think I need a muscular thirty year old somewhere in there though. What do you think?

Anyway, it’s almost 1 AM and I should be going to bed. I just wanted to share my excitement with you. Thanks for getting through this post, and I hope some of you are able to read my book and tell me what you think. If it’s not available for purchase when you do a search on it, please try again in a day or two. KDP is usually pretty quick, so hopefully it’s ready by the time you read this. Oh, and if I messed up on my description section, please tell me so I can fix it…just in case you notice it before I do.

Many thanks, and I wish you all a wonderful day!
